USA Girl Scouts Overseas - West Pacific Executive

Description:
The USA Girl Scouts Overseas (USAGSO) – West Pacific Executive manages the day-to-day operations of USAGSO's North Atlantic office. She/he leads the regional staff team and may be assigned to lead cross-regional project teams. Developing the onboarding process for new staff, the USAGSO West Pacific Executive coaches and develops staff skills and addresses problem areas on an ongoing basis; consciously creating a workplace culture that emphasizes and encourages EPIC (empathy, possibility thinking, innovation, courageous leadership) competencies.

The USAGSO – West Pacific Executive develops the unit's annual operational plan and budget in alignment with USAGSO team goals and GSUSA's strategic priorities. She/he ensures effective financial systems are in place and ensures good financial management. Additional responsibilities include:

    Working collaboratively with USAGSO teams to increase efficiencies and ensure coordinated, integrated programs, communication and activities throughout USAGSO.
    Serving as the staff contact for West Pacific-based Board committee(s).
    Serving as a liaison between USA Girl Scouts Overseas and all U.S. Military branches in Japan, Okinawa, and Korea. Maintains all required documentation and submits regular progress reports to the military. Encourages team involvement in base activities.
    Represents Girl Scouts and USA Girl Scouts Overseas with key partners and stakeholders including volunteers, alumnae, the American Military, DoD and American/International school personnel, AFN, expatriate groups, and WAGGGS member organizations.

Qualifications:
  BA/BS degree in relevant field plus 10+ years of relevant experience.
    Prior international experience—living or working outside of the US.
    Familiarity working in a military setting highly desired.
    Demonstrated hands-on experience in volunteer management, development and implementation of membership recruitment and retention strategies.
    Strong platform skills to deliver presentations and training sessions.
    Demonstrated ability to work remotely with minimal supervision as well as work in a collaborative team environment.
    Excellent written and verbal communications; excellent interpersonal skills.
    Must be social media savvy and proficient in MS Office.
    Ability to travel-up to 25% of time.
    Valid passport and U.S. Driver License required.
    International military driver's license required (may be obtained after arrival).
