To implement prophetic vision, PEF Self-Reliance Services has created new products and services designed to help Church leaders and members understand and live the doctrines and principles of self-reliance, work, and education through skills for finding and keeping a better job, succeeding in school or vocational training, and starting or growing their own business, helping to further the mission of the Church.


This role helps those members who are in need, willing to be worthy, and willing to work to learn the doctrines and principles of self-reliance in order to provide for themselves and their families the temporal and spiritual necessities of life, or self-reliance. The incumbent is the PEF/SRS information conduit and problem solver with headquarters operations employees, volunteers, missionaries and local leaders. The incumbent serves on the global PEF loan committee overseeing the administration of the PEF loan programs including preparation, loan application and disbursement and loan mentoring. Also, this role helps develop and implement strategy, policies and systems relating to operations. He/she is assigned to provide strategic direction, in-field training and ongoing support to Area Self-Reliance Operations Managers in designated International Areas.  This role provides training to Operations teams and as the expert in PEF operations policies, procedures and systems addresses all personnel, technical, policy and operational issues.

1. (30%) Provide strategic direction and support to Area PEF Operations Managers in assigned Areas regarding all personnel, technical, policy, and operational issues.
2. (30%) Travel in assigned Areas to assist in the training of Area PEF Self-Reliance Operations Managers and personnel.
3. (20%) Assist the Headquarters Manager of PEF Operations to oversee global PEF loan administration and all processes relating to the PEF loan program worldwide, including front end preparation in wards, stakes, and self-reliance centers and centralized loan administration in Area offices.
4. (10%) Help develop strategy, policies, and systems relating to the Perpetual Education Fund.
5. (10%) Completion of specific headquarters functional assignment and peer leadership of other Operations Support managers.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree. MBA or relevant Master’s level degree strongly preferred.
• 8+ years’ direct hands successful experience in implementing best practices and technology to improve management and administrative effectiveness and efficiency. Prior International business experience a plus.
• Fluency in one or more “Area required” languages (e.g. Spanish or Portuguese, etc.) strongly preferred.
• Must have a high level of analytical and creative skills.
• Must be proficient in the use of personal computers to utilize databases, spreadsheets, word processing,
internet, and e-mail communications
• Must be self-starting, enthusiastic, and member/priesthood oriented.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and group training skills with ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to lead and motivate individuals to higher levels of performance.
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
