Description: Lewis Young Robertson & Burningham, Inc. (LYRB) is accepting applications and will be conducting job interviews for the position of Intern. The Intern position works under the supervision of the Production Team Manager and may provide general support to Analysts, Senior Analysts, or Vice-Presidents or our Business Relationship Centers (BRCs). Duties include: compiling data and the preparation of tables, charts, and summaries; review financial models; provide general analytical support to Analysts, Senior Analysts, or Vice-Presidents; provide formatting of documents; and, complete general tasks assigned by Production Team Manager.

LYRB provides financial advisory services to local governments including cities, towns, counties, redevelopment agencies, school districts, water districts, sewer districts and special districts throughout Utah. In addition to our financial advisory services, our firm provides consulting services including impact fee studies, utility fee studies (such as water & sewer rate studies), business license fee studies, economic development services (project area creation, economic development strategic planning, etc.) and other consulting studies.

Desired Skill Sets: Candidates should illustrate aptitude in creative problem-solving, quantitative analysis, business writing, communication, public speaking, and in such programs as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and willing to complete a variety of tasks.

Additional Considerations: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate proficiency or understanding in ARC GIS software (basic level) and/or Bloomberg and other financial information service products (such as MMD, Delphis).

Community Planning Specialist

Graduate Intern, Provo City Mayor's Office

Location: Provo, Ut

Description: This is an intern position in the Mayor’s Office of Provo City Corporation.  The individual appointed to this position will be required to assist the Mayor and his staff in a variety of assignments and administrative projects.

Requirements: Bona fide graduate student in Public Administration or a related field.  Must have strong analytical and writing skills and be able to conduct research and exercise independent judgment. Valid, driver’s license is required at time of appointment.  Applicant may be disqualified on the basis of an unacceptable driving record as reflected by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
