The MCC Student Volunteer Internship Program is recruiting for its Summer 2015 session.  Internships are provided for students with a desire to work in the international development field and/or public sector and assignments are designed to complement the intern's educational pursuits while meeting the expressed needs of the agency and individual MCC departments.
DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE – IT Oriented Interns:  Candidates will have an opportunity to assist in a wide-range of duties essential to performing key business operations at MCC Headquarters.  



         - Administrative Intern: Intern(s) will assist with performing research, analyses, and corrective actions of recordkeeping, files management and records-related activities; presenting fact-findings and trends through spreadsheet creation/manipulation; document and files retrieval from automated information systems and paper-based collections; updating records training rosters and supporting records management training and compliance reports; assisting in the maintenance and revisions of MCC Records-related policies, procedures, and guidance documents; maintaining and updating records services and vendor files for accuracy and compliance; creating/maintaining resource libraries; completing draft records management reports, projects, and program tasks for OCIO staff and consultants; and other duties as assigned.



         - Information Technology Intern: Information Technology for International Development:  The Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated students to serve as unpaid student interns to assist in the performance of its mission of providing support services for Millennium Challenge Corporation.   OCIO views student interns as the future of the Federal workforce. The Office of Chief Information Officer Student Internship Program provides the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and build leadership skills.  Participants in the program will be exposed to the Federal work environment and will learn about the mission of the Office of Chief Information Officer, and its role and responsibility to the Office of Administration & Finance.

             - SharePoint/Data Intern

                      - provide customer support of activities related to SharePoint

                 - assist with managing the service request queue

                 - support project documentation (inclusive of requirements gathering)

                 - update comments/solutions for service request tickets on a regular basis

                 - Data collection, cleaning and validating

                 - Testing of reporting functionality

                      - Validation of data extracts

                 - Documentation of data processes

              - Front Office/Information Management Intern

                     - Assist with current intranet (SharePoint) site clean-up and archival

                     - Collaborate with front office staff on guidelines for information management within OCIO

                     - Assist with creating and implementing OCIO program communication plans and activities

                     - Support project documentation for programs within the front office

Qualifications:
Students must meet the following requirements to qualify:



·          Must be currently enrolled at least half-time in an accredited degree/diploma program (unless higher level program is specified)

·          Must be in good academic standing




Must be in good academic standing

Must be a US Citizen
