MuniServices - Analyst

Description: his is an analyst position. This is where I started with the company, forecasting client revenues, handling client requests for research and analysis and providing insight and analysis to many departments. This would be perfect for someone coming out of the program.

In short, we make sure our local government clients (cities, counties, transit authorities) receive the taxes they are supposed to receive from the State, Counties and Businesses.  We have services for each of the general fund revenue (sales tax, property tax, business tax, utility users tax, etc..)   At times we administer/outsource city departments.  Because we have access to so much tax data, we also provide a wide range of analytical and consulting services.  I’ve worked on economic development projects for cities of all sizes.  We have about 100 employees at MuniServices with 2000 at our parent and sister companies in the PRA Group and PRA Government Services.  We have around 180 clients in California and 900 nationwide.  Over the last 35 years we have recovered or increased local government revenues by over $2.4 Billion.

It is a great place to work.  We have an awesome team and great clients.  You will work with cities all over the state.  We are looking for some BYU MPAs to join the team.

Analyst Position:
1.       A key part of our client relations team – the group who handles many of the special requests and projects from clients in addition to forecasting sales tax revenues and preparing presentations for our CA clients.
2.       Interface with our clients directly and support the Client Services Managers as they meet with and advise clients.
3.       Often pulled in to help other departments on special projects.
4.       Great place to learn about CA local government and to apply analytical skills to help many, many communities.
5.       We are doing a major upgrade right now with our business and data analytics.  This position is going to be a significant part of connecting local governments with the information they need to make decisions.
