POSITION OVERVIEW The Partnership prepares federal leaders to solve national challenges by driving innovation, inspiring employees and delivering results. In pursuit of that mission, we work with federal leaders at all levels through leadership training, custom workshops, advisory services and consulting engagements to build federal leadership and management capacity, encourage innovation and improve the overall effectiveness of their agencies. As a Senior Program Manager for Business Development, you will play a critical role in identifying, developing and growing the Partnership’s program reach, impact and revenue. Specifically, the senior program manager will be responsible for growing participation in the Excellence in Government (EIG) Fellows program as well as growing other programs and identifying new opportunities. To grow the EIG program and other existing programs, the senior program manager will:  Furnish market intelligence and advice, counsel and general support on all sales efforts across the organization  Develop long-term relationships with agencies that routinely participate in our programs and grow the pipeline of agencies and participants  Maintain rapport with agencies by making periodic visits and presentations, collecting feedback, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities for engagement  Assist with the business development and recruitment of new individual and organizational participants in the EIG program PARTNERSHIP FOR PUBLIC SERVICE SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER 2  Work with the other business development professionals to codify the Partnership’s systems and processes to help scale operations. In particular, leverage the customer relationship management system and mine data to help segment and target areas for growth and new opportunities For new programs, the senior program manager will:  Develop and propose new programs based on customer and market intelligence  Mine new and existing training and advisory services partners for engagement prospects  Manage the proposal-writing process for new engagements  Cultivate new opportunities as they arise and help transition the new partnership over to the appropriate team and / or program manager

Qualifications:
 Commitment to public service issues and the mission of the Partnership  Minimum of eight to ten years of demonstrated success in generating revenue in the federal market  Entrepreneurial drive with the ability to be adaptable; develop, sell and deliver new ideas  Ability to be customer-focused; build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, establish credibility and earn their confidence  Excellent prospecting, networking, communication, research, analytical and writing skills  Collaborative, flexible, positive team-player able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and to organize multiple and varied assignments  Familiarity with federal government operations, including federal contracting, general management issues and leadership programs; consulting experience and/or prior work in the federal environment strongly preferred  Strong skills using the Microsoft Office suite of software, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint  Strong Project Management skills  Prior experience with operational planning, budgeting and forecasting and customer relationship management (Salesforce) software a plus  Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
