Out of School Time Director Salt Lake County - YMCA

The YMCA of Northern Utah is seeking a leader for our community’s Salt Lake County out of school time programs and services.  The YMCA of Northern Utah serves over 1,800 youth annually at 8 sites/schools throughout Salt Lake County.
The Out of School Time Director will develop broad and deep relationships within the school communities served; and hire/train staff and shape the culture of the YMCA out of school time programming in Salt Lake County in a way that represents the YMCA mission, community needs and strategic direction of the Association. 
The Out of School Time Director is responsible for administration and management of the YMCA’s out of school time operations, programs, and services in Salt Lake County for the YMCA of Northern Utah.   The OST Director will also work closely with the Regional Director and related staff in participant retention and to ensure the organization is providing timely, efficient and consistent service. The OST Director will spend approximately 50% in related administrative functions and 50% in OST programming support. This position is responsible for the OST Department including staff recruitment, training, development and evaluation in addition to budget and grant management. The position requires supervision of program managers, coordinators, leaders, tutors and assistants. This position is key in communicating the YMCA Mission and Goals to our participants, staff, and community. The Out of School Time Director will be capable of understanding and providing supervision, guidance, and mentoring on decisions related to budgeting, youth development and relationship building. Demonstrated success developing, monitoring, and addressing operating budget demands is required.

Qualifications:
The Out of School Time Director will have extraordinary interpersonal and leadership skills, a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Director/ Management, and broad operations expertise to develop and grow OST programs through innovative and forward thinking approaches, collaborations and leveraging resources.  Bachelor’s Degree required, experience with non-profit and/or youth program organizations preferred.
