Internship Opportunity

The Utah Medical Education Council (UMEC, www.utahmec.org) was created by the state legislature in 1997. Our mission is to promote healthcare workforce planning, production, and policy through assessment, innovation, and collaboration with stakeholders.

 

The UMEC is looking for an intern. The intern will primarily work on conducting data analysis and developing factsheets, and a workforce report based on the dental workforce survey data. Experience with MS Access, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Word and SPSS is required.

We prefer students that can use this project as part of the internship requirement for their program(s). Math, Statistics, Public Policy, Science & Technology, Public Administration, Public Health, Pre-Med areas preferred.

• Time Commitment Required – a minimum of 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.
• Pay - $11 to $15 per hour depending on the incumbent’s skills & qualifications.
