Management Analyst

DUTIES:  The City of Veneta is accepting applications for Management Analyst. Under direction of the City Administrator, employee performs a variety of advanced professional administrative and management support duties involving the development, coordination, and evaluation of City policies and programs related to Human Resources, Risk Management, Communications and other areas of local government administration.  Responsible for the City's human resources administration and manages the City's benefit and insurance plans.  Oversees the City's risk management administration and provides leadership in developing, implementing and evaluating risk management activities. Serves as the City's Information Specialist and develops mediums for distributing information about City news and public events including printed materials and the City website.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and six months to one year of progressively responsible related experience.  Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job will be considered. Master's Degree in a related field is strongly desirable.

Full-time position. Salary range $40,296-$58,476 DOQ plus benefits.
