FISCAL ANALYST I
$4,099 - $4,982/month
THE POSITION: Under general direction and close supervision, performs special financial studies, and analyzes and assists in preparing and monitoring the annual budget of a large department; assists in year-end closing of the books and audit preparation; and performs related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education, experience, and training which demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position. A typical qualifying entrance background is graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in public or business administration or a closely related field; and one (1) year of experience in financial management and/or budget preparation and analysis. Incumbent must possess a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

THE BENEFITS: Benefits include health, dental, and optical insurance for employee and dependents; PPO plan at minimal cost for full family, EPO plan at no cost for full family; City-paid 457(k) deferred compensation contributions; term life insurance plus universal life (earns dividends), long-term disability and accidental death & dismemberment insurance; longevity sick leave incentive; and annual Well-fitness incentives. Employees accrue sick leave at 13 days/year, 10 days/year vacation, and 9 days/year administrative leave, cash-out options for vacation and administrative leave. The City observes 13 paid holidays/year (11 designated and 2 floating). The City is a member of the California State Employees Retirement System (PERS); 2% @ 55 formula for classic/legacy employees; 2% @ 62 formula for new employees (as defined by PEPRA). The City does not pay into Social Security.
