About CAP Utah: Community Action Partnership of Utah (CAP Utah) leads, strengthens, and supports the state’s Community Action network in order to build thriving communities and end poverty. We are the statewide association for nine Community Action Agencies, members of a nationwide network established over 50 years ago as a part of President Lyndon Johnson’s War on Poverty. Our member agencies help low-income families and individuals become self-sufficient.

Description: Reporting to the board of directors, the executive director will properly engage the board members in the work of CAP Utah; manage operations and finances; and represent CAP Utah to stakeholders.  The executive director will also be primarily responsible for providing training and technical assistance to Utah’s Community Action Agencies (CAAs) with an end goal of assisting those agencies to assess community needs, increase community collaborations, implement the requirements of federal Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Organizational Standards and the performance management system Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA), and increase local agencies’ capacity to deliver on the promise of community action – Helping People, Changing Lives.
