Salary range: $67,092 - $90,513; hiring range: $67,092 - $72,000 depending on qualifications. Bonus eligibility. Excellent benefits package.
Hours: Mon – Thurs: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, Fri: 7:30 am – 11:30 pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is an exempt, “at-will” position working under the City Manager. Finance is the primary focus of this position, specifically relating to preparing and creating the annual budget and preparing for the annual audit, accounting functions, overseeing payroll and treasury related functions, and overseeing the utility billing functions of the City. There is a high expectation to set an example of ethical standards and financial prudence. This position currently supervises the City Treasurer, Accounts Payable Clerk, and two Utility Billing Clerks. In addition to Finance related duties, this position also serves as the City’s Emergency Manager and Risk Manager, and will be part of the Executive Management Team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree from and accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, or related field, Master’s Degree preferred. Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in government finance, budgeting, and/or municipal management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Quantitative analysis skills, including cost/benefit analysis, and statistical analysis. Extensive experience with MS Excel or similar spreadsheets. Formal training in fund accounting preferred but not required. High standards of personal integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
