How To Apply

All students applying for a Smithsonian Facilities Management Internship opportunity must submit a complete application package.

Create one PDF package that includes the following items, and submit it before the deadline listed below:

1. Fill out an FM Internship Application Form
2. College Transcripts (Official or Unofficial)
3. Proof of Good Standing (Note from registrar or faculty advisor)
4. Two letters of recommendation that are:
   • Submitted on University or company letter head
   • Have the contact information listed of the referee
   • Signed by the referee
5. An essay (1-2 pages) that states your interest in the opportunity and also states your learning objectives
6. Resume (please highlight volunteer or community service experience)

• All Application Packages must be fully submitted to facilities@si.edu not later than 02/15/2014
• Candidates who are selected will be scheduled for interview
• Opportunities marked as CONTINUOUS may be applied for any time so long as the opportunity is listed as vacant.
