Salary: $50,000 to $70,000 (plus benefits and bonuses
for achievement of goals)
Cause for Hope is seeking a dynamic
and motivated professional to be its Director of Advancement. Cause for Hope is a non-profit organization
with a primary mission to enable people to become self-reliant and improve
their lives in developing countries. The
Director of Advancement will report to the Chairman of Cause for Hope, and will
work closely with its Board of Directors, to promote and implement its funding
and marketing priorities. The Director
of Advancement will play a primary role in managing a campaign to significantly
expand Cause for Hope’s current services.
The Director will create and implement a sustainable development and
marketing plan for the organization, and manage staff members responsible for
implementing the plan. The selected
individual must be a strategic thinker with the ability to provide high quality
leadership to Cause for Hope’s advancement operation. The selected individual should have
experience in management, fund-raising and marketing, with a demonstrated
ability to motivate and inspire both staff and volunteers. The individual will show self-motivation,
effective financial stewardship, strong relationship skills, and effective
communication and writing skills.
Specific duties include, but are
not limited to:

Report to and work closely with the Chairman and
Board of Cause for Hope;
·
Manage members of the advancement team,
including directors of marketing, development, special projects and operations;
·
Serve as manager for Cause for Hope’s expansion
campaign;
·
Establish and achieve advancement goals;
·
Manage targeted strategic plans for Cause for
Hope’s major donor prospects, ensuring those plans are being followed;
·
Manage a portfolio of major donors and major
donor prospects, making personal visits and asking for gifts;
·
Identify and steward potential new Cause for
Hope partners;
·
Create and manage a database of constituents and
donors;
·
Other duties, as assigned by the Board.
Job Qualifications:
·
Demonstrated experience in management, fund
raising and marketing;
·
High level of personal motivation, initiative
and creativity;
·
Excellent communication and writing skills;
·
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
·
An ability to achieve goals and objectives;
·
A proven track record of soliciting and securing
major gifts, or equivalent high-end sales;
·
Experience in motivating and staffing a board of
directors;
·
Bachelor’s degree.
