Salary:

• Hourly Wage: $27 - $42 / hour, depending on qualifications; average 25 hours / week
• Phone Allowance & Equipment: $70 /month for phone & internet; laptop will be provided
• Mileage Reimbursement: $0.54 /mile
• Benefits: no additional benefits are currently offered

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Fundraising & Budget: Build brand awareness and ability of the Network to enhance local climate change activities. Manage financial and other resources associated with the Network. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Manage the Network as a Fiscally Sponsored Project with a registered 501(c)(3)
• Manage the process of incorporating the Network as a non-profit and securing 501(c)(3) status
• Draft a fundraising plan and partner with Network participants on implementation
• Complete grant applications and associated reporting, where applicable
• Secure strategic partnerships for technical assistance and other forms of support
• Track and report on all financial matters, in conjunction with Fiscal Sponsorship

Communications & Outreach: Complete ongoing tasks related to communications and outreach, including but not limited to:

• Update content on UtahClimateActionNetwork.com and other program websites
• Post through existing social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
• Draft and send a recurring newsletter to Network participants
• Act as a liaison and Network representative to the media
• Manage general inquiries from the public and stakeholders
• Implement regional climate action campaign and related deliverables

Member Connectivity & Recruitment: Ensure that the Network serves its primary purpose of connecting members with climate change information, solutions and local contacts to assist with project and policy implementation. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Organize and facilitate Network events that include all participants
• Assist in creation and ongoing management of topic-based climate sub-groups
• Ongoing 1:1 engagement with participants through email updates and meetings
• Recruit new participants across all sectors and ensure diversity of participants

Strategic Leadership: In coordination with Network Conveners and participants, implement strategic vision detailed in Network Charter and ensure ongoing updates to align vision with emerging priorities and opportunities. Example tasks include:

• Conduct recurring meetings with Network Conveners and project partners
• Gauge and report strategic and partnership priorities of Network participants
• Guide overall growth and success of Network as it matures

Requirements:

• Self-motivated, ambitious, innovative team player with passion for improving communities and the environment
• Strong knowledge of PC-based software applications
• Strong writing, verbal communication and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated project management and/or business development success
