POSITION DESCRIPTION: Finance Budget Analysts in the Financial Operations Unit perform a variety of analytical, technical, and consultative duties necessary to carry out the budget management functions of the Department of Finance, the Governor’s chief fiscal policy advisor:
- assists in review and analysis of budget data or documents submitted by the departments
- provides quality control of format, consistency, and accuracy of budget data and publications
- provides consultation and assists in resolving problems identified and advising them on potential solutions
- trains departments and Finance budget analysts on budget processes and technical preparation of budget documents
- issues technical budget information and instructions to fiscal officers and analysts
- coordinates statewide data
- performs various FI$Cal (Hyperion)-related activities
- assists in Finance eBudget website maintenance and enhancements
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
