Description: Employees in this position provide technical assistance to local cities and counties to develop, complete and update affordable housing plans in accordance with Utah law. Employees will also provide technical assistance to local planners to meet reporting requirements and assist rural associations of government and local officials in planning for growth, assessing impacts from economic development, prioritizing local needs, establishing funding priorities and coordinating planning efforts across municipal and state jurisdictions. Incumbents plan, develop, implement, monitor, evaluate, train, resolve conflicts and assist in the implementation and on-going direction and support of Workforce Services programs. Employees must have extensive expertise and knowledge of specific program area of responsibility, and may perform one or more of the following duties: coordinate program policies, procedures, and quality assurance plans and development activities; provide agency-wide technical and/or program training, curriculum development and on-going assessment and maintenance of program training content; provide technical assistance to and/or functionally supervise other trainers or technicians; or, may resolve high conflict issues due to service delivery breakdowns by responding to requests, issues or problems from the general public.
